During Covid I was contacted by NBTC, the Dutch Tourism Agency to pitch for a new Destination film. After winning the pitch together with Gerbert Floor, we immediately sat out to catch the last rays of sun on out beautiful Island chain in september. The Idea we had was to make production as flexible as possible, so we could shoot the weather we wanted for particular parts of the story (mostly sunny, but also stormy for Zeeland). The result made not only us proud, but also the minister traveling abroad and sharing it online with kind words.
After the main destination film we employed the same production approach for 7 "passion" films. Destination films with a particular Dutch subject: Flowers, Dutch Masters, Heritage, Water. Cycling, Coasts & Natural Beauty and New Dutch. We also produced more moment-depended content for the sites seasonal headers.
Many days of shoot later we sat on an enormous amount of great footage that was made in different social campaigns as well. We also made costomary exports of hundreds of shots to fill NBTC's image bank. It made me very proud to tell the stories of our countries many highlights.
